What we collect and why

Mood Meal Makers is built to help you decide what to cook. Most of the app works without an account. When you do sign in or use certain features, we collect only the data we need to make those features work.

Analytics

Optional

Anonymous counts of how you use the wheel and sharing.

  • Wheel spins: meal category, selected moods, recipe name, and whether the result came from AI or a curated list.
  • Shares: which recipes are shared and where (for example, copy link or Messages).
  • Personalization: when you choose a category, add or remove a mood, start a spin, or open a recipe.
How to control it: Turn off Anonymous usage analytics and Share tracking in Settings → Privacy. When these are off, no new analytics events are recorded on this device.

Sessions

Required to stay signed in

Authentication tokens stored on your device so you stay logged in.

  • When you sign up or sign in, a session token is stored locally on your device.
  • The session lets you use features like your Recipe Box, friends, chat, and shared grocery lists without signing in every time.
  • If you sign in with Google, we receive only the profile information you authorize. We do not receive or store your Google password.
How to control it: Sign out from the app header at any time. Signing out clears the local session on this device.

Recipe photo scans

Optional

Images you upload to convert a written or printed recipe into a saved recipe.

  • When you scan a recipe, the image is sent to our AI provider to read the text and return structured ingredients and steps.
  • We do not keep the original image on our servers after it has been processed.
  • The extracted recipe is saved only if you choose to keep it in your Recipe Box.
How to control it: You choose when to scan a recipe. You can delete saved recipes from your Recipe Box at any time.

What we do not collect

  • We do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not collect your precise location, contacts, calendar, health data, or browsing history.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not sell your data.

Mood Meal Makers runs on Lovable Cloud, which provides the database, authentication, and backend services. Recipe scans are processed through the Lovable AI Gateway. Google Sign-In is used only when you choose to sign in with Google.
